This was an international commission for a concert in Denton, Texas, by the Brazilian band Rakta. I was given only the show details and total artistic freedom beyond that – I drew upon traditional punk imagery, but also chose to incorporate more psychedelic elements and drew upon Pennsylvania Dutch design for inspiration.
This was the first poster I completed for a monthly artist and maker’s market in what has since become a long-term business relationship. I drew upon psychedelic and vintage elements, but once again looked even further back to Pennsylvania Dutch design and the Arts and Crafts Movement for inspiration.
A quick and easy poster for the local show promotion company “Not Dead Yet.” It was particularly meaningful to create concert posters during this era were live events were only just starting to pick up again.
