This series of illustrations was commissioned by the band Westelaken for their full length album “I Am Steaming Mushrooms” and a series of singles from said album that they released in 2023. I was given a list of motifs that they would like included for each particular image and a general colour scheme, but a large degree of artistic license beyond that.

This was a very collaborative process; there was plenty of back and forth as I progressed from sketches, to initial drafts, and finally to the finished products. I really enjoy this kind of communication, and both the band and I ended up with something we could truly be happy with.
